Home Mouldings & Baseboards

Toe kicks and cabinet mouldings are a great way to give your kitchen the ultimate finished look. At Swedish Door, we offer toe kick, L bulkhead, cabinet crown moulding and valance to give your kitchen a cohesive built-in look.
Toe kicks are the boards that run across the bottom of base cabinets. They are both functional and decorative in nature. With toe kick, you can cover up the joints and gaps between your cabinetry and the floor.
On the other end, L bulkheads and crown mouldings extend from the ceiling to the cabinetry. Paired together they are often used to hide unsightly gaps to give the appearance of a full built-in unit.
Valance mouldings are attached to the bottom of upper cabinets giving your kitchen an additional design element. They are often used to discreetly hide cabinet track lighting.

The IKEA Akurum cabinet system was discontinued in 2015 and replaced with the new IKEA Sektion cabinet system. If you have an IKEA kitchen made and installed before 2015, you likely have an Akurum system. A quick way to check is to look at the holes inside your cabinets. See the diagrams below.
