LEARN OUR PROCESS

Want to refresh your IKEA Akurum kitchen cabinets?

Check out the steps below to see how it works.

STEP 1

MEASURE + PLAN

Measure and record all your required or existing cabinet doors, drawer fronts and panel sizes, then browse our Akurum shop to see the styles we offer. You can even add the styles that catch your eye to your Wishlist!

Wait! Colours look different in person. Before moving on, we recommend ordering samples first to make sure you love them.

STEP 2

BUILD YOUR ORDER

With your measurements in hand, add the doors and drawers you need from our catalogue to your cart. From there, you can move on to side panels, toe kicks, hardware, and any other components you need. Check out, and your order will be moved to production. It’s that simple!

Looking to replace just a few of your Akurum cabinet doors?

STEP 3

SHIPPING + INSTALLATION

Once your order is created and shipped, we’ll provide you with the tracking information. Your Swedish Door products will arrive pre-drilled and ready to install! If you’re not a DIY person, don’t worry – you can reach out to one of our regional partners for help.

Prefer to work with a Swedish Door rep?

Download a copy of the Swedish Door order form and record the measurements of all your required or existing cabinet doors, drawer fronts and panel sizes. Submit your order form along with the Swedish Door products you want, and we’ll get started on your custom quote!

What type of cabinets do you have?

The IKEA Akurum cabinet system was discontinued in 2015 and replaced with the new IKEA Sektion cabinet system. If you have an IKEA kitchen made and installed before 2015, you likely have an Akurum system. A quick way to check is to look at the holes inside your cabinets. See the diagrams below.
